How We Research

This site compares flamenco venues in Barcelona and publishes the result as the flamenco show Barcelona catalogue. It is a comparison, not a review diary: we do not operate or personally conduct these tours, and nothing here is written as an eyewitness account.

Sources, in order of authority

The venue's own website comes first for curtain times, seating zones, menu prices and closures. The booking listing comes second, for the ticket price, what the ticket includes, minimum ages, accessibility and cancellation terms. Traveller reviews come third and are used only for patterns, never as a fact about the venue.

Where the two disagree, the venue's own page wins and the difference is stated rather than averaged.

What gets rechecked, and when

Prices, ratings and review counts carry the month they were read. Curtain times and seating rules are rechecked when a venue changes its site or when a reader reports a discrepancy. Anything undated should be treated as stale, which is why nothing here is published without a date.

What we never do

We do not invent quotes, average ratings across venues into a score of our own, or present a promotional rate as a standard price. We do not describe a room as though we were sitting in it, and we do not publish 1 to 3 star reviews as showcased quotes; where criticism is warranted it is written into the guide in plain prose with the practical advice attached.
